Paros is in the middle of the Cyclades, and it is one of the easier Greek islands to reach. Here is how to get here from Athens and other islands, and how to get to your home once you land.
By ferry from Athens or by a short flight. Ferries leave from Piraeus and Rafina and arrive at the port of Parikia. Flights from Athens land at Paros airport, on the south-west of the island.
From Piraeus, the fastest boats take about 2 hours 40 minutes and the slower ones about 5 hours. From Rafina, it is usually about 3 to 4 hours. Times change by season and boat, so check the timetable for your date.
Piraeus has the most sailings, and a direct metro links it to Athens airport. Rafina is closer to the airport by road and the crossing is often shorter.
About 40 to 45 minutes. Sky Express and Olympic Air fly the route, with more flights in summer. Book early for July and August.
About 8 to 10 km. From Naousa, allow about 30 minutes by car, and from Tsoukalia about 35 minutes.
Many of our Parikia homes are a short walk from the port. For the rest of the island there are buses from the station by the port, and car hire at the port and the airport. Ask us about a transfer before you travel.
Parikia to Naousa takes about 17 minutes. Parikia to Tsoukalia takes about 30 minutes. Tsoukalia to Naousa takes about 20 minutes.
Yes. Ferries link Paros with other Cyclades islands such as Naxos, Mykonos and Santorini. Routes and frequency change by season, and there are fewer boats in winter.
